Q - Do I provide garments or do you?

Q - When do you receive and count goods?
A - Our shipping and receiving department receives shipments daily, goods are counted and cross checked to the distributor packing slip and internal work order on the day they are received. You will be notified immediately of any discrepancies.
Q - What are your minimums?
A - Our minimum order is 72 impressions per setup, print location, and ink color scheme. We will only mix like style and color garments for 72 units, for example, 48 short sleeved t-shirts and 24 long sleeved t-shirts. Light and dark colored garments often cannot be mixed for print runs. Inquire beforehand if you are unsure whether or not garment styles or colors can be combined for orders. Adult and youth sized garments may not be combined unless the same size imprint is used.
Q - Why does your price list stop at 1512 qty?
A - Motion Company has created a simple pricing structure and corresponding price list for your reference. We feel it is necessary that quantities above 1512 pcs are formally quoted upon review of graphics and print specs. This practice ensures accurate and competitive pricing.
Q - What is your standard turnaround?

Q - Do you charge for setups?
A - Motion company does not charge for setups, our pricing includes all setup charges.
Q - Does this pricing include screen charges?
A - Motion company does not charge for screens. Screen charges originated in the early days of screen printing when screens could not be re-used after they had been imaged, therefore, we feel that separate screen charges are unnecessary and confusing.
Q - Do you save films?
A - Motion Company utilizes state of the art CTS (computer to screen) technology, therefore, we do not produce nor save films.
Q - How much for a pre-production sample?
A - Motion Company charges pre-production samples at $45(net) per imprinted color, ie: a 3-color imprint will cost $135(net).
Q - Do you do press checks?

Q - Do you offer Pantone® (PMS) Color Matching?
A - Motion Company utilizes a PANTONE® licensed ink mixing system to simulate Pantone® colors. Ink mixing and color matching is done in house under quality control.
Q - How much do you charge for Pantone® Color Matching?
A - Motion Company does not charge extra for Pantone® Color Matching.
Q - Can you drop ship directly to my client?
A - Yes, most orders shipped from Motion Company go directly to the end user.
Q - Are orders shipped “blind”?
A - Yes, all shipments are sent “blind” in new corrugated boxes. Box labels, shipping labels, and packing slips do not reference Motion Company.
Q - What information is displayed on box labels?
A - Your Company name, your design name, your PO number, sizes and quantities contained in the box, and box number, ie: 1 of 4
Q - Why do you repackage in new boxes?
A - We feel that brand new boxes with clean printed labels is the best possible reflection of the quality and professionalism of our company and yours.
Q - What do you do with the old mill boxes?
A - We are committed to environmental sustainability in every aspect of our operation. To that end, we recycle all mill boxes.
Q - How do you ship?
A - Our preferred carrier for all shipment methods is FedEx. We have chosen FedEx as our preferred carrier for their proven track record and reliable service. As a PPAI Supplier, Motion Company receives generous rate discounts from FedEx which are passed onto our clients.
Q - Can you ship on our account?
A - Yes, if you would like Motion Company to ship on your account please include the following information on your purchase order: Carrier, shipment method, your account number, and corresponding zip code to your account.
Q - Who do I email artwork to?

Q - How many colors are in this graphic?
A - If you have any question as to how many colors will be needed to reproduce an image, contact Motion Company, we will be happy to review your graphics.
Q - Does this graphic require an underbase?
A - The general rule of thumb is that any image printed on a dark substrate will require an underbase for proper image opacity. If you have any question as to whether or not your graphics will require an underbase, contact Motion Company, we will be happy to review your graphics.
Q - Can you print halftones?

Q - What is discharge printing?
A - Discharge is a printing process for 100% cotton garments in which specially formulated ink removes the dye from the substrate exposing the natural color of the fabric. Often times pigments are mixed into the ink to achieve colors.

A - Discharge print pricing must be quoted by Motion Company after artwork review. Discharge printing is only available on quantities over 288 pcs.
Q - Do you offer fold and polybag service?
A - Yes, Motion Company utilizes state of the art automated folding and bagging equipment. We stock a range of poly bag sizes to accommodate most garment types. Our standard poly bags are imprinted with an “eight language” warning label. Size stickers are adhered to the exterior of each bag.
Q - Do you offer re-labeling service?
A - Motion Company does offer re-labeling services, however we feel that it is more efficient and cost effective to have re-labeling services performed by your distributor/manufacturer.
Q - Do you offer “all over” printing?
A - Motion Company does not offer “all over” printing, “all over” printing is achieved through a process known as belt printing.
Q - Do you offer digital garment printing?
A - Motion Company does not offer digital garment printing. Our extensive research has concluded that the available equipment on the market today does not meet our standards in imprint consistency nor our production demands and does not provide cost effectiveness to our clients.
Q - Do you offer 4-color process?
A - Motion Company no longer utilizes the 4-color printing process. Instead, we use the modern Simulated Process method to produce stunning full color images on both light and dark garments. The simulated process method delivers color accuracy, clarity, opacity, and consistency beyond the typical results achieved through traditional 4-color process.
Q - Do you print on hats?
A - Motion Company does not offer printing on headwear. We recommend embroidery as a method for decorating headwear.
Q - Do you offer foil transfer printing?

Q - How do I price foil transfer printing?
A - Foil transfer print pricing must be quoted by Motion Company after artwork review. Foil transfer printing is only available on quantities over 288 pcs.
Q - Do you charge more for metallic ink?
A - Motion Company does not up-charge for printing standard jewel-tone metallic inks on quantities below 1512 pcs. On larger quantities, the higher cost of metallic inks may be taken into account when quoting your project.
Q - Do you do athletic numbering or lettering?
A - Motion Company does not offer athletic numbering or lettering. For athletic numbering or lettering, contact your local team sports dealer.
Q - Do you print on jackets?
A - Motion Company does not offer printing on jackets. In most cases jackets are double lined or made of synthetic fabric and are better suited for embroidery applications.
Q - Do you offer embroidery?
A - Motion Company does not currently offer embroidery services.
Q - What kind of ink do you use?
A - Motion Company primarily uses plastisol inks. Plastisol inks are comprised of three parts: PVC resin, plasticizer, and pigment. Plastisols can be modified to achieve a wide range of textures and opacity and will adhere to most textiles. Plastisol inks must be heated to dry. For a complete cure, they must reach 290-330º F (143-166º C).
Q - Are your inks environmentally friendly?
A - Plastisol inks are innocuous when used with reasonable care. Motion Company ethics and California State law require adherence to the highest standards of safe handling and safe disposal of plastisol inks. Plastisol ink contains no air-polluting solvents or volatile organic compounds. The manufacture, transportation, storage, use, and disposal of plastisol inks do not cause injury, illness, or environmental contamination as long as the appropriate safety and environmental protection procedures are followed. Most plastisol inks have a Health Rating of 1 (hazard - slight), a Flammability Rating of 1 (hazard - slight), a Reactivity Rating of 0 (hazard - minimal) and a Personal Protection Rating of B (wear safety glasses and gloves).
Q - Do you use water based inks?
A - Motion Company utilizes water based inks for special effects applications only.
Q - Are water based inks environmentally friendly?
A - Our extensive research in this area has not led to any determination or indication that the chemicals used in water based inks are any more or less safe to manufacture, use, or dispose of than the chemicals used in plastisol inks, assuming that in both cases the chemicals are processed in accordance with applicable health, safety and environmental protection regulations. Q - What is your is misprint/defect policy?

Q - What if my client says they are missing garments?
A - To ensure accurate order quantities, Motion Company employs a standard procedure where goods are counted and cross checked to the distributor packing slip and our internal work order on the day they are received. Additionally, goods are counted out post production and cross checked to our internal work order and receiving form. Discrepancies due to misprints and/defects are accounted for on the shipment packing slip. Total shipment quantities and individual box quantities are documented internally by Motion Company. This procedure guarantees a high level of accuracy on outbound shipment quantities. In the event that there is a discrepancy, Motion Company must be contacted within 72 hours of receipt of order so we may review our records. Motion Company will not be held accountable for the receiving procedures of the end user.

Q - What if my customer doesn’t like the printing?
A - Motion Company stands behind the quality of the work we produce. Our goal is to reproduce your graphic onto the garment substrate with maximum accuracy, quality, and consistency. Because the total satisfaction of the end user with the final printed product is ultimately subjective, we offer several options for producing printed samples for end user review including: speculative samples, pre-production samples, and e-press checks. Motion Company operates under strict quality controls and documented guidelines to ensure a quality finished product, we will not be held responsible for end user subjectivity.
